First of all, enjoy your work. If you are not enjoying, find the reasons why, write it down point-by-point and make plans to nullify those points. Talk to a trusted colleague or friend about this matter, if you think it could be helpful..
Do not run away from taking decisions or actions. Procrastination attracts failure!!
.
Before starting the day's work, clear the clutter on your desk. Keep the things which is useful
only on the immediate problem at hand.
Think about what all activities need your attention. Note them on a paper. Prioritise things.
Once you have prioritised the things you need to break each activity into shorter goals.
Be consistent. Consistency is the most essential ingredient for success. Most people falter or lose focus after the initial excitement associated with something new. That also explains why not all people are
successful.
Respect the value of time. Do not waste it for things out of context. Learn to say 'no' when you want to say 'no'. It may hurt some people, but offering them a good excuse in a neat presentable manner could be a good solution. After all, One can recover money or any other thing from someone but definitely not your valuable time!!.
Keep tabs on yourself. Tell a friend or colleague about what you plan to do and how you plan to
implement the same. Sharing your plans with someone close to you like your spouse or friend reduces the mental burden associated with it.
Assign a particular time of the day to review your progress. For example, a time just before you leave for the office or just before you take your daily bath. Improve yourself by retrospection.
As and when you achieve your short-term goals, don't forget to reward yourself by doing something you find really enjoyable. Something like going for a trek with your friends, paying a surprise visit to someone dear to you are all rejuvenating actions.
Take good care of your health too. Use recreation to energise yourself. Regular Physical recreation, which includes brisk walking, yoga or some individual or team sports like badminton, golf provides a refreshing feel to life and is wonderful stress-busters.
Improve the nutritional content in the food you take. Have plenty of fruit juices. Even having
Anti-oxidants like Brahmi, Spirulina or Vitamin-enriched tablets have been medically proven to improve personal efficiency and alertness. After all, the body needs 'fuel' to catch up with your time-oriented goals!!
